Thousands are expected to El Monte on Thursday, June 1, to take part in Pride Night during the Farmers Market on Main Street. The evening kicks off the San San Gabriel Valley Pride Tour 2023, in partnership with the San Gabriel Valley LGBTQ+ Center and the San Gabriel Valley Pride Roundtable. June 1's festivities will feature a musical performance by Mariachi Arcoiris , said to be the first and only LGBTQ+ Mariachi in the world. The city is also partnering with the Queer Mercado, the first Latino marketplace focusing on LGBTQ+ businesses and brands, to welcome vendors that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and Latinx heritage.
